So far this year, the Academics Competitions team has participated in two events. At Knowledge Bowl, where they placed third, the team answered questions in areas from science and literature to history and math. According to team member Bryant Dutcher, "Knowledge Bowl was dope." The second event was the Regional Science Bowl where they answered a similar amount of questions to the other teams in their group but did not get the bonus questions. The Academic Competitions team includes seniors: Lily Hammer, Alex Bebb, and Edward Chumbley juniors: Bryant Dutcher and Justus Rude, sophomore: Linden Seeger, and Freshmen: Levi Russo and Jordan King. Coach Fuller says that “I am proud of what these students have achieved so far this year.”
The team’s next event is Conference Academic bowl on March 10th please contact Mr. Fuller if you are interested. 2/5/2020 It’s Gamma RadiationBy Josie Hildreth (MMC Vice President)In Physical Science, class is always an experience. That’s why when sophomores, Abraham Christensen and Aidan Bradke, decided to make a rap for their final project instead of a slide presentation, it wasn’t much of a surprise. The boys took a somewhat interesting topic of gamma radiation and made it into a fun informational rap. The physical science teacher, John Fuller, is having a very fun time playing it for all of his classes. When I asked him what he thought of the two boys’ creativity he said, “it was a unique spinoff for traditional presentation styles” You can watch the video down below! |
